aurora molina  Co-fundador de FAMA  recibió su Asociado en Artes en Artes Visuales de Miami-Dade College, una Licenciatura en  Bellas Artes con especialidad en Fibras por la Florida International University, y MFA en Arte Contemporáneo por la Universidad Europea de Madrid. Actualmente reside en Miami, Florida, donde trabaja como artista a tiempo completo y está representada por la Galería Bernice Steinbaum.

Alina Rodriguez es una artista, educadora de museos, especialista en apoyo curricular y  educador de artes visuales para las Escuelas Públicas del Condado de Miami-Dade. Ha cruzado sus 30 años de profesión docente para abrazar todas sus pasiones: textiles, artes visuales, trabajo curatorial, educación artística y ahora es cofundadora de FAMA.

Evelyn Politzer vive y trabaja en Miami, Florida.  Siguiendo su pasión por las fibras, se graduó de la Parsons School of Design en Nueva York y tiene un  MFA de MIU. A través de su trabajo, Politzer amplía nuestra apreciación de las artes de la fibra y las técnicas de tejido y ganchillo como forma artística y ahora está comprometida con la fibra avanzada como cofundadora de FAMA.

susana feliciano  es un  Artista, educador y poeta. ... Un nativo de Nueva York,  Feliciano asistió a la Universidad Internacional de Florida donde recibió un BA (1992), BFA (2001) y MS (2005).  feliciano  es profesor adjunto en el programa de Arte e Historia del Arte de la Universidad Internacional de Florida y director de Inkimaru Studio.

Nacido  y criado en Río de Janeiro, Brasil,  silvana soriano  es un artista visual radicado actualmente en Miami, Florida.  soriano  ha participado en numerosas exposiciones individuales y colectivas en Brasil, España, Francia, EE. UU. y Cuba desde 1984, incluida la presentación de su trabajo en Pinta Miami Art Fair

Nancy Billings, nativa de Nueva York, es una artista y maestra con sede en Coconut Grove, Florida. ella la recibió  BFA en Diseño de Moda del Pratt Institute. Su paso del diseño de moda al arte de la fibra fue una transición natural utilizando el mismo medio de formas nuevas e innovadoras.

La artista Windy Chien es mejor conocida por su trabajo de 2016, El año de los nudos , en el que aprendió un nuevo nudo todos los días durante un año. Su trabajo varía en tamaño desde un nudo que puede caber en la palma de la mano de un niño hasta instalaciones del tamaño de una habitación que son buscadas por coleccionistas privados. El libro de Windy sobre su trabajo fue publicado por Abrams en 2019.

vive en la reserva de Miccosukee y ha estado haciendo patchwork durante los últimos seis años después de aprender las técnicas artesanales de su abuela. En  Julio  En 2018, fundó el Centro de creatividad Miccosukee, un centro comunitario en la reserva para fomentar las tradiciones del mosaico en su tribu mientras ayuda a los miembros de la comunidad a aprender a trabajar con mosaicos, abalorios,  canastas  y otras artesanías. 

Nacido en Monterrey, México (1971). Trabaja y vive en Miami, EE. UU. Laura inició sus estudios de arte en la Universidad de Carolina del Norte, la Escuela de Artes Visuales de Nueva York.  y la Liga de Estudiantes de Arte en Nueva York. Es Máster en Análisis y Gestión del Arte Contemporáneo por la Universidad de Barcelona. 

Laeti es una artista haitiano-estadounidense que vive en Miami, Florida.  Utiliza varios medios artísticos para abordar problemas sociales y personales, como el calentamiento global y el aumento del nivel del mar, la negrura,  feminismo y aceptación.  Utiliza la pintura, las artes textiles, la fotografía, la ilustración, la videografía, el arte sonoro y otros medios para retratar la belleza, al tiempo que transmite sus emociones, a veces dolorosas.

Alissa Alfonso crea obras que honran el mundo natural al reutilizar materiales encontrados para reflejar tanto la abundancia como las características de desecho de la vida moderna. Sus piezas celebran la libertad inherente a la naturaleza, reconocen paisajes perdidos y en desaparición, y advierten sobre un futuro en el que la naturaleza ya no podrá curarse a sí misma.

Ana Weiss ha encontrado una nueva pasión en las artes de la fibra y trabajando con textiles bajo la dirección de Aurora Molina. Ella es una  educador de artes visuales de mitad de carrera, artista.

Maru Ulivi es una artista de medios mixtos con estudios en arte textil, fotografía y collage.  enfoque  sobre temas e historias de mujeres,  pensamientos y alma.
Su visión para  el arte es abrir  posibilidad y conectar sensibilidades a través de experiencias humanas.  Ulivi ha publicado dos libros: “Jaulas” y “El silencio duele más”, donde he entrevistado a más de 300 mujeres que me han abierto el corazón y me han contado sus historias. 

Nacida en Los Ángeles, California y criada en Miami Beach, FL, Jacqueline Roch es una artista cuyo trabajo se describe mejor como "realismo tropical". Su trabajo es muy distintivo con audaces opciones de color y contrastes. Al combinar pasteles para crear colores complejos, es capaz de lograr una calidad que recuerda a una pintura al óleo. Influenciada por su amor por la naturaleza y los trópicos, el trabajo de Jacqueline está destinado a inspirar a quienes lo ven a "detenerse por un minuto, reducir la velocidad y ver lo bueno y lo hermoso de cada día".

Yapur es una técnica mixta  artista que intuitivamente incorpora diferentes materiales necesarios para su trabajo textil. Conecta con el entorno especial creado por hilos, telas, tijeras, tizas, cintas métricas y máquinas de coser al que ha estado expuesta a lo largo de su vida.  infancia. Viene de una familia de sastres y le ha resultado bastante fácil  fusionar textil  con las nuevas tecnologías.  El lenguaje estético de Yapur se centra principalmente en la creación de collages, utilizando diversas técnicas.

Angela Bolaños es una artista nacida en Honduras que vive en Miami, FL. Su práctica creativa impulsada por procesos hace uso de textiles, superficies reflectantes, objetos encontrados, medios tradicionales y técnicas experimentales. Inspirado en formas orgánicas a menudo yuxtapuestas con geométricas  formas, patrones y collage de papel, la fisicalidad de su trabajo seduce al espectador con su rica textura, colores exuberantes y movimiento expresivo. El viaje creativo de su trabajo representa expresiones físicas de su búsqueda continua de conceptos de identidad, percepción y el paso del tiempo.

Regina Jestrow es una artista visual nacida en Nueva York y radicada en Miami. Su madre le enseñó a coser cuando era niña y ha utilizado estas habilidades a lo largo de su práctica.  La obra de arte de Jestrow explora sus intereses actuales en la historia de las mujeres y las tradiciones de patrones de colchas estadounidenses. La investigación de Jestrow la ha llevado a desarrollar un cuerpo de trabajo que incluye pintura, dibujos, textiles, fibras e instalaciones escultóricas.

Amy Gelb nació en la ciudad de Nueva York y creció en el sur de Miami.  Estudió en la Universidad de Nueva York, donde obtuvo un BFA en la Escuela de Artes Dramáticas Tisch y una Maestría en Trabajo Social Clínico.  Amy es una artista multimedia y fotógrafa cuyo trabajo examina el tejido de la historia femenina y las capas que nos entrelazan con nuestro pasado, con los demás y con nuestro futuro potencial. 

Valerie Lustgarten comenzó a explorar la pintura gestual hace 13 años, investigando activamente diferentes medios a través de los cuales comunicar ideas importantes.  Durante los últimos años, ha perseguido el objetivo de profundizar en lo que ella llama una variedad de “pasantías” medianas y mini-intensivas.  La pandemia ha inspirado a Lustgarten a explorar nuevos medios, como la fotografía y el arte de fibra, a través de los cuales expresar sus ideas.

Cassandra es una artista de fibra que estudia con una beca completa para seguir un  carrera en artes visuales.  Destinatario de la  Escolar  KCAI' 23. Artista visual YoungArts, 2019. Scholastics, 2019. NWSA 19.  YoungArts ha albergado varias exhibiciones de maestros, ganadores y ex alumnos de YoungArts, incluidos Derrick Adams, Olafur Eliasson, Daniel Arsham y Hernan Bas.  Cassandra recibió una beca de una residencia artística en Xela, Guatemala en 2019 para estudiar tejido de cintura.

Una artista multidisciplinaria que se mudó a Florida en 2017 desde Filadelfia, donde fue profesora de escultura en la Universidad de las Artes. Jeanne crea principalmente instalaciones interactivas que reexaminan historias culturales, mitos y  historias así como trabajos escultóricos a menudo hechos de fibras de papel fundido.

Débora es tejedora y amante de los colores, las texturas y los retos que trae cada nuevo proyecto. Vive y trabaja en Miami, Florida. Lleva más de 30 años tejiendo, pero no fue hasta los últimos años que llevó su afición a otro nivel introduciendo diferentes técnicas y teñidos naturales a sus tejidos.

María Ruden  enseñó arte a nivel universitario durante más de ocho años; su obra de arte y escultura está en  Proyectos de Arte Público en varios estados.  Ella fue galardonada con un  Premio a la preservación de Knox Heritage  Este  Tennesse  Alianza de Conservación. Sus estatuas de bronce  y colchas recientes presentan personajes y eventos históricos como el Centenario del derecho al voto de las mujeres.

Karla Kantorovich es una artista de medios mixtos de México con sede en Miami, FL. Trabaja con pinturas, fibras y ensamblajes, apoyándose en la importancia de la textura y la dimensionalidad como una forma de explorar la renovación. Recientemente completó su MFA de FIU  mientras muestra activamente su trabajo en múltiples plataformas internacionales.

Mi fascinación por la textura me ha llevado a explorar un sinfín de superficies, desde lienzos e hilos hasta madera y metal. Me gusta experimentar con materiales encontrados como ramitas, clavos y papel para techos. Disfruto el desafío de usar materiales originalmente destinados a otra cosa.  Mi obra de arte involucra formas, líneas, patrones, flores y motivos que se derivan de influencias como los textiles y la naturaleza.  Mi objetivo es llevar al espectador a un viaje especial cada vez que mire mi arte. Si cada persona se va con una impresión y una experiencia distintas al ver mi trabajo, entonces mi misión se ha cumplido.

Yolanda es artista visual, curadora y escritora con un MFA en pintura de la Universidad de Yale y un Ph.D. en psicología clínica de la Universidad Estatal de Florida.     Más recientemente, se desempeñó como Directora de Bellas Artes y Asuntos Culturales del Aeropuerto Internacional de Miami, cargo que ocupó durante 21 años.  El trabajo textil de Yolanda está inspirado en una forma de arte coreana, conocida como Bojagi.   En su práctica tradicional, las puntadas y costuras crean elementos lineales que se emplean como componentes del diseño y son lo que distingue a Bojagi de los textiles de retazos que se encuentran en otras tradiciones.   En su 

Liene Bosquê tiene un MFA en Estudios de Fibras y Materiales de la Escuela del Instituto de Arte de Chicago, un BFA de la Universidad Estatal de São Paulo y una Licenciatura en Arquitectura y Urbanismo de la Universidad Mackenzie, ambas en Brasil.  Las instalaciones, esculturas, proyectos específicos de sitio de Bosquê, así como trabajos de prácticas socialmente comprometidas, se han exhibido en museos y galerías de los Estados Unidos en MoMA PS1 en Nueva York, Museo de Fotografía Contemporánea en Chicago, MOCA North Miami, entre otros lugares. 

Brant tiene títulos en pintura de la Universidad de Montana.  (BFA) y la Universidad de Wyoming. (AMF).  Ha vivido y trabajado en Montana, Wyoming, Londres, Inglaterra y Missouri y en 1999 se mudó a Florida para ocupar un puesto de profesora de estudio en la Universidad Internacional de Florida.    

Sus obras subversivas ejecutadas en una variedad de medios, incluidas fibras, pintura y performance, se han exhibido a nivel nacional e internacional. Esta introducción al uso subversivo de telas encontradas y las artes de la aguja ha afectado tanto su creación artística como su enseñanza.  Brant ofrece un curso de fibras además de enseñar pintura en FIU.

Shelly McCoy siempre teniendo una pasión por el arte, recibió su Licenciatura en Bellas Artes  Grado de la  Estrella nueva  Facultad de Arte y Diseño de Scotia  en 1986, especializándose en Pintura.  Más tarde la recibió  MFA en Educación de FIU. Su trabajo en general es de naturaleza experimental.  que van desde piezas de medios mixtos en relieve hasta objetos tridimensionales compuestos  de una amplia gama de materiales desde los tradicionales lápices de colores hasta el no tradicional asfalto  como en su obra más reciente.

Nacido en Argentina, vive y trabaja en Miami, Estados Unidos.  Ha realizado trabajos de pregrado en Artes Visuales en Miami-Dade College (MDC) y estudios de educación continua a nivel de posgrado en la Universidad de Miami (UM). También tiene una licenciatura en Administración de Empresas en la UCA (Universidad Católica Argentina).   Es una artista de medios mixtos, que utiliza diferentes materiales y medios en sus pinturas,  seleccionados precisamente para enfatizar su valor simbólico inherente.  A través de su arte, espera que los espectadores reflexionen sobre el mundo fascinante en el que vivimos y comprendan nuestro lugar en él como seres humanos más allá de las fronteras geográficas, de raza o género.

Laura Marsh es una artista textil con una práctica social. Sus esferas, pancartas e instalaciones contienen lemas sociales y textos humanitarios. De dos generaciones de mujeres que cosen, Marsh  practica un enfoque de hágalo usted mismo que es accesible y práctico. Marsh recibió su MFA de la Escuela de Arte de la Universidad de Yale y un BFA del Instituto de Arte de Cleveland. 

Carola Bravo es una artista venezolana que vive y trabaja en Miami. El trabajo de Bravo abarca desde videos inmersivos específicos del sitio e instalaciones de arte hasta arte público.   Con una sólida formación en arquitectura, su trabajo aborda el espacio y la memoria, los territorios cambiantes y su geometría.  Bravo tiene un doctorado. en Arquitectura (2016), un MA. en Historia del Arte (2003) de la Universidad Central de Venezuela, y una Licenciatura en Arquitectura de la Universidad de las Artes, Filadelfia, EE. UU. (1987).

Sonia Báez-Hernández  tiene una Maestría en Bellas Artes en Pintura y Dibujo de la Escuela del Instituto de Arte de Chicago, una Maestría en Sociología de la Universidad de California Los Ángeles y una Licenciatura en Ciencias Políticas de la Universidad de Puerto Rico. Emplea una práctica artística interdisciplinaria para crear intervenciones y experimentaciones artísticas basadas en la comunidad. El cuerpo de trabajo de Báez-Hernández incluye pintura abstracta, dibujo, grabado, fibra. instalación, rendimiento.

Colette Mello es una profesional creativa que trabaja en curaduría, administración de arte y artes de la fibra. Su práctica activista se cruza con el feminismo, la igualdad racial, la justicia ambiental, el control de armas y la reforma de la justicia penal. El objetivo de su práctica es estimular conversaciones significativas sobre estos temas importantes. Colette tiene un MFA de Florida International

University in Visual Arts – Curatorial Practice, es docente en Perez Art Museum Miami y facilita la programación de arte en FIU – Miami Beach Urban Studios.

Maria Lino tiene una Licenciatura en Ciencias en Arte de Estudio de la Universidad de Nueva York y una Maestría en Bellas Artes de la Universidad Internacional de Florida. Ella es una  Fulbright US Scholar y dos veces ganador de la Beca Oscar B. Cintas. Como artista visual multidisciplinaria, emplea el dibujo, el grabado, el texto, el video, la danza y los textiles para crear retratos individuales y grupales de aquellos que a menudo se pasan por alto, como mujeres, niños, personas con discapacidades, migrantes e inmigrantes. 

Curadora de Educación experimentada con una historia demostrada de trabajo en la industria de museos e instituciones. Experto en organizaciones sin fines de lucro, capacitación ADA, accesibilidad e inclusión, educación en museos, programación de integración de artes innovadoras con el plan de estudios de las escuelas públicas del condado de Miami Dade, gestión de eventos y arte. Fuerte profesional de las artes y el diseño con una Maestría en Arte enfocada en Estudios de Museos/Educación/Administración de la Universidad Johns Hopkins.

La experiencia profesional de Rosie Gordon-Wallace desmiente su pasión actual. Fundador y curador senior de Diaspora Vibe Gallery y Diaspora Vibe Cultural Arts Incubator, uno de los espacios de incubación de arte más comentados en Miami. Gordon-Wallace, siempre apasionada del arte, decidió en 1996 dedicarse a tiempo completo a la galería que creó y desarrolló. Diaspora Vibe Gallery, que se especializa en arte caribeño y latinoamericano con énfasis en exhibir artistas emergentes.

Considero mi trabajo una técnica mixta, en la que realizo collages de imágenes, combinando técnicas. Algunas imágenes están tejidas en fibras, otras dibujadas tanto a mano como con aguja, foto transfers con fotos alteradas y doble exposición, y block prints con diseños muy gráficos y textiles. La tela, los textiles, los hilos contribuyen a estos dibujos, a estas emociones, dándoles un toque  sentimiento y una dimensión adicional. Uso fibras y textiles como materiales, un medio.

Mirena Suárez es una artista multimedia de origen cubano. Recibió su Licenciatura en Artes con mención en Grabado del Instituto Superior de Artes de La Habana. Se mudó a los Estados Unidos y amplió sus estudios en Florida International University y NOVA Southeastern University. Su trabajo reflexiona sobre los temas universales atemporales de identidad, conexión y cambio.  Mirena ha exhibido extensamente su trabajo en todo el mundo y ha recibido numerosos premios y reconocimientos por su obra de arte. 

Rosario Salazar es oriunda de Bogotá, Colombia. Se mudó a los Estados Unidos hace 30 años.  y después de trabajar durante varios años para varios estudios de arquitectura de prestigio, abrió  su propio estudio de diseño de interiores (ID). Siguiendo un deseo de explorar su lado artístico trabajando  con fibras naturales y otros materiales, ahora disfruta pasar más tiempo con los demás  quienes continúan inspirando su incansable creatividad.

Erika Poy es Licenciada en Arquitectura por la UNAM, México. Erika disfruta trabajar con óleos, acrílicos y acuarelas, pero actualmente está obsesionada con las agujas perforadas, el bordado y las técnicas de costura.  como material para pintar y esculpir.

Qinza Najm  es un  Artista interdisciplinario paquistaní-estadounidense radicado en Miami/Nueva York.  Najm prosiguió sus estudios de bellas artes en la Universidad de Bath y en la Liga de Estudiantes de Arte de Nueva York, donde estudió bajo la tutela de Larry Poons. Completó su doctorado en Psicología en la Universidad Estatal de Tennessee. Su crianza en Lahore, Pakistán, su adultez en los Estados Unidos y su intensa formación en Psicología informan sus pinturas, performances y trabajos de instalación relacionados con el género, la política y el empoderamiento.

Madrigal recibió una licenciatura en Bellas Artes del Maryland Institute College of Art en 2013. Es una artista de fibra que  crea instalaciones de medios mixtos a gran escala y esculturas blandas utilizando materiales reutilizados. Sus obras existen entre el

intersección de comodidad y peculiaridad, lo familiar y lo desconocido.

Melanie es la fundadora de The Contemporary Art Modern Project (The CAMP Gallery) se enfoca en llamar la atención sobre quién  ellos  Considere los artistas contemporáneos emergentes y de mitad de carrera más frescos e interesantes. 

Adriana Herrera es escritora y curadora independiente. Recibí mi Ph.D. con una disertación interdisciplinaria en arte y literatura formulando el concepto de “ficciones extremas”. Desde 2011, formo parte de Aluna Curatorial Collective y soy cofundadora de Aluna Art Foundation.  Herrera ha comisariado múltiples exposiciones en museos y, más recientemente, está interesado en Textiles y sus tradiciones históricas.

Estudió arquitectura en la Universidad Central de Venezuela y Bellas Artes en la Escuela de Artes Visuales Cristóbal Rojas.  Restauración de dorado y mosaico de vidrio en Florencia, Italia, como parte de un programa de restauración con la UNESCO. He incluido medios como vidrio fundido, arcilla y resina en mis edredones.

Rojo es un fabricante y diseñador de instalaciones y entornos monumentales, artista independiente, cineasta y diseñador de ropa. Más recientemente, volvió a imaginar Star Hill Ranch, un pueblo fantasma en Houston, Texas, como un juego de arcade donde los invitados se convirtieron en componentes del juego. Para las elecciones de 2020, el famoso coreógrafo Andros Zins Browne le encargó la creación de escenarios itinerantes para "Vote Float".  viajando por el condado de Miami Dade.

El artista de mezcla de medios, nacido y criado en el sur de Brasil. Aprendió, de niña, con su madre y su abuela, muchas técnicas de trabajo manual con fibras.  Graduada en Diseño de Moda, actualmente vive en Miami donde asiste al programa MFA en Miami International Unervisity. La principal característica de su obra es la mezcla de recursos. Suele añadir a sus pinturas una mezcla de técnicas como el bordado, el macramé, el tejido de punto, el crochet y el collage de telas.

Mi actual cuerpo de trabajo explora los límites. Indagar en mi pasado y trabajar a través de experiencias a través del arte y, al mismo tiempo, llevar mi medio artístico al límite. Mi práctica artística se centra en varias pasiones; amor por la tierra, reutilización de desechos, innovación, inspiración como mujer y sobreviviente. Mi práctica artística se basa en las ideas de la abstracción, el minimalismo, el dadaísmo, el concepto de ikigai, el anticonsumismo y la dedicación al legado. Si bien disfruto estar inmerso en el arte, a menudo me inspiro en otras cosas. 

Mi trabajo es una exploración continua que involucra las relaciones humanas y la interacción humana con la naturaleza. Me impulsa mi curiosidad interna, la experimentación y el deseo de conocer el material íntimamente, un viaje hacia lo desconocido. Los medios húmedos y secos sobre papel y lienzo, hacer marcas, cortar y rasgar se convierten en un proceso poético en mi práctica artística. Planteo inquietudes con respecto al entorno natural.  Lo efímero descartado y el uso de multimedia se convierten en elementos de mi trabajo actual.

Patricia L. Cooke nació y creció en Greensboro, Carolina del Norte. En 2011, obtuvo su BFA en Studio Art de la Appalachian State University en Boone, NC. Después de graduarse, Cooke regresó a su ciudad natal para desarrollar su práctica de estudio. Cooke se mudó al área de Miami y completó sus estudios de posgrado en la UM, obteniendo su MFA en Escultura en 2018. Cooke enseña Escultura y Diseño 3D en la Universidad de Miami y New World School of the Arts.

Jeannette Stargala es una artista visual que vive y trabaja en Miami. Originaria de Alemania, creció detrás del Telón de Acero y estudió arquitectura después de la caída del Muro de Berlín.  Jeannette obtuvo una Maestría en Bellas Artes de la Universidad de Miami. Mientras se enfocaba en el grabado durante el programa, encontró su amor por las artes del libro y hoy enseña en la Universidad de Miami y la New World School of the Arts. Las telas siempre han sido parte de su trabajo, cosiendo sus primeras expresiones artísticas desde niña.

Endam Nihan es artista de performance y video. Crea obras de un solo canal, así como instalaciones multicanal, ensayos de imágenes, objetos y obras de realidad virtual. Nacida y criada en Turquía y actualmente radicada en los EE. UU., tiene una Maestría en Bellas Artes en Video Artístico de la Universidad de Syracuse.

Claudia Morrison nació en Medellín, Colombia, actualmente reside en Parkland, FL. claudia  graduado de la concentración de la FAU en  escultura, y recientemente completó su Maestría en Lenguas, Lingüística y Literatura Comparada, Enseñanza del Español, de la misma universidad. Su interés actual radica en la exploración del arte de la fibra orientado a  la investigación e interpretación de los problemas sociales actuales.

Nacido en Cuba, Llaneza emigra a los Estados Unidos a una edad temprana. En 1984 se muda permanentemente a Miami y se gradúa Suma Cum Laude de la Universidad Internacional de Florida con una licenciatura en Artes Visuales e Historia del Arte. Durante los últimos 30 años Llaneza ha estado involucrada en el mundo del Arte Contemporáneo. Después de finalizar su mandato de 8 años a mediados de 2013 como Directora Ejecutiva de Hardcore Art Contemporary Space (en Wynwood Arts District); curadora de MAC Galleries en FTL durante 3 años y recientemente gerente de Spanierman Modern Miami, Rochi actúa de forma independiente como consultora de arte, curadora y tasadora de arte.

Originaria de la República Dominicana, Aida Tejada es una artista experimental de medios mixtos que trabaja para ampliar el marco de la fotografía más allá de la cámara. Explora el absurdo de controlar el tiempo y el espacio, un impulso que nos convierte tanto en víctimas como en verdugos de nuestras acciones.  Si bien está bien versada en fotografía tradicional, Tejada también utiliza varios procesos fotográficos alternativos y técnicas prácticas de transferencia de fotografías para crear su trabajo.

Verónica Buitrón es una diseñadora textil y autora ecuatoriana que trabaja con fibras naturales, tintes naturales y técnicas artesanales tradicionales andinas.  Se mudó a Miami en 2016 y  actualmente se dedica a la investigación y promoción del uso de tintes naturales en Ecuador y el Sur de la Florida. Ella tiene un BFA  de la Escuela del Instituto de Arte de Chicago.

Nacida y viviendo en São Paulo, Brasil, Marta trabaja como diseñadora gráfica desde 1988 y como artista desde 1995. Recibió una licenciatura en diseño en 1983 y una maestría en comunicación y semiótica en 2007. Como artista, ha estado trabajando con fotografía. , pintura, dibujo, instalación y performance.

Natalia Schonowski es una artista de fibra/textil que actualmente reside en el área de Boston. Natalia ha vivido en numerosos lugares del mundo. Recibió su Licenciatura en Bellas Artes en Medios Mixtos de FIU.  y su Maestría en Bellas Artes en Media Art and Design de

Universidad Bauhaus de Weimar y una Maestría en Teoría del Arte de la Universidad Tongji de Shanghái.

Bénédicte Blanc-Fontenille es una artista francesa multidisciplinaria que vive y trabaja en Miami, se graduó en 1985 de l'Ecole des Beaux-Arts con experiencia en teatro.  Trabaja en una variedad de formatos que incluyen pinturas, esculturas, instalaciones y fotografía. Su aprecio por la técnica mixta y la experimentación la ha llevado a utilizar pigmentos, fibras, técnica de cera encáustica, tinta, papel, yeso.

Denise Shapiro nació en octubre de 1974 en Monterrey, México. Mientras estuvo en México obtuvo su licenciatura en educación. En 2010 se mudó a Miami, FL, donde reside actualmente, y obtuvo su maestría en Enseñanza de español como segundo idioma. Aunque su afición por tejer comenzó como un mero pasatiempo, poco a poco se fue convirtiendo en una pasión. Ahora teje a ganchillo, cose, borda y teje, trascendiendo sus ideas en una obra de arte textil.

Lisa Rockford se crió en el sur de Florida y obtuvo su licenciatura en Bellas Artes en pintura y una licenciatura en arteterapia de  Universidad Estatal de Bowling Green, OH  en 1999, y en 2001, obtuvo un MFA de la Escuela del Instituto de Arte de Chicago.  Desde que regresó al sur de la Florida en 2007,  Lisa se ha establecido como artista, curadora y educadora. Su trabajo se ha mostrado en más de 70 exposiciones nacionales e internacionales.

Ellen Pestili es una artista brasileña de medios mixtos, descendiente de italianos,  con sede en Orlando, Florida. Tiene una licenciatura en arte, con especialización en arte en Edgewood College.  También ha sido autora e ilustradora de libros infantiles, y ha escrito 15 e ilustrado alrededor de 50 libros, algunos de ellos ilustrados con costura y bordado.

Mi amor por las fibras y las telas comenzó con los retazos de mi abuela, una excelente costurera, que fue parte de la primera generación de nuestra familia que vivió en Miami. La costura, el dibujo y la pintura se han integrado a mi actividad artística.  desarrollo. Mckenley estudió arte e historia del arte en la Universidad Estatal de Florida, asistiendo al Programa de Estudios en el Extranjero en Florencia, Italia,  obteniendo un BFA en Pintura y una Maestría en Educación Artística de FIU.

Batista  recibió  su BFA en Diseño Gráfico de la Universidad de Miami (2009) y su MFA de Parsons the New School of Design.  Batista  es un artista de medios mixtos que trabaja con el lenguaje, específicamente la multiplicidad de significados según diferentes contextos. Su trabajo tridimensional explora experiencias personales con dinámicas en estructuras de poder.  y nacionalidad y se interpreta mediante el uso de la semiótica.

Fernanda Frangetto es una artista de medios mixtos nacida en Brasil que vive en Florida. Ella estudió en la  Centro Universitario de Bellas Artes y especializado en escultura en el Museo Brasileño de Escultura (MuBE). Sus obras se han presentado en instituciones de arte en los EE. UU. y Brasil.

Soy un artista abstracto galardonado que ha trabajado en muchas disciplinas durante el transcurso de una carrera de 35 años.  Mi atención se ha centrado principalmente en la pintura de medios mixtos, el grabado, el collage y las artes de fibra. Crear con fibra es lo más satisfactorio debido a la tactilidad del medio. “Pintar con fibra” ofrece infinitas posibilidades creativas al igual que el uso de una miríada de textiles: tela, hilo, mecha, cordón y papel.

El arte me permite conectarme con mi verdadero ser interior y dejarlo salir en forma de amor. Mi estudio es un espacio experimental donde mezclo técnicas y múltiples disciplinas para investigar el Arte como medio de expresión. He hablado sobre temas sociales, sexo e identidad a través de pinturas, esculturas, videos y performances apoyándome en la representación de mi cultura y crianza, utilizando una estética de múltiples capas/desconfigurada de movimientos orgánicos llenos de texturas: cera de vela, café. , oro, plata, vidrio, madera, telas y materiales reciclados es como comunico mis esperanzas, sentimientos y valores.

El avance y la educación de nuestra juventud es muy importante para mí. Creo que el arte, imaginado a través de la lente del juego, puede trasladar la experiencia creativa de lo personal a la comunidad, inculcando una sensación de bienestar.

Bobbi Meier es una artista visual con sede en Chicago que trabaja en escultura, dibujo, fotografía e instalación.

Producir un trabajo sensual, un poco aterrador y grotescamente humorístico se ha convertido en un medio para enfrentar la incomodidad y la ira con situaciones que no se pueden cambiar. Las frustraciones de la vida y la condición humana están incrustadas en sus esculturas abstractas, dibujos e instalaciones a través de la yuxtaposición de una delicada y agresiva manipulación de materiales.

Alexandra De Yavorsky nació en Venezuela. Es directora de marca y diseño gráfico en el galardonado estudio Atelier De Yavorsky en Miami. En esta carrocería, utiliza un solo color en cada recipiente para provocar una respuesta emocional en el espectador, reviviendo en nosotros una sensación de simplicidad natural. Su trabajo ha aparecido recientemente en exposiciones en Miami y en el extranjero.

Nacido en la ciudad de Nueva York  alyson vega  es una artista de la fibra que aprendió sola a coser y acolchar a una edad temprana. Recibió una licenciatura en Folclore y Mitología Japonesa de la Universidad de Harvard. ella cose  piezas de tela que incorporan temas de decadencia, fugacidad, infancia y sueños.  Alyson emplea varias técnicas en sus piezas, que incluyen impresión, pintura, embellecimiento de superficies y costura.

Melissa es  Nacido en Colombia y emigrado a  Miami hace 20 años. En 2010 fundó su marca K'MELL DESIGNS, una empresa de bolsos y ropa. ella es una autodidacta  diseñador con amplio conocimiento de la industria incluyendo la producción. En 2020 durante el COVID 19, Melissa dio el salto a las artes visuales y encontró una nueva forma de expresarse al compartir muchas de sus historias de amor y las de algunas de sus amigas recopiladas a lo largo de los años, a través de sus pinturas. Su arte consiste en mezclar medios utilizando diferentes tipos de telas, guipur y pintura al óleo.

Artista visual  maite  Urrechaga  es un artista del sur de la Florida que trabaja con  cómics, música y cine. Quizás sea mejor conocida como la "media naranja" del esposo de Pocket Of Lollipops de Miami.  y equipo de esposa donde ella toca el bajo y comparte deberes vocales con su esposo, el baterista.  En 2008 recibió el Mejor Titular de Art Basel por su Instalación de Arte Interactivo en el Miami New Times.  Maite ha sido una  parte de la escena musical y artística desde su adolescencia. Ella es una niña punk de corazón con un amor por la vanguardia.   Se siente atraída por los que rompen las reglas y los creadores de libros de texto.

Adana Garrote es originaria de Miami y se mudó al Medio Oeste por  su BFA en el Kansas City Art Institute en Kansas City,  Misuri. Actualmente va a estudiar en la Universidad Estatal de Missouri para su MFA. 

Sus exploraciones en fibras se han convertido en un estudio sobre  patrones tradicionales que se encuentran principalmente en el acolchado estadounidense, utilizando  papel, tela, encuadernación y fieltros hechos a mano para transmitir estos  patrones recurrentes y casi compulsivos que se encuentran en sus piezas.  A través de estos patrones, se produce una conversación entre el contexto histórico/cultural y la conexión humana a través del lenguaje visual.

Marilyn Valiente es una artista multimedia abstracta contemporánea.  Después de sus posgrados, trabajando como psicoterapeuta y criando a sus dos hijos, enfocó su atención en su amor por el arte y el proceso creativo.   Sus obras de arte son representaciones visuales de sus emociones y sus estudios en psicología y sus muchos años de trabajo como psicoterapeuta. Los colores llamativos, la textura y las líneas dominan el campo visual con lo que parece ser un proceso muy espontáneo e intuitivo mientras trata con la condición humana y sus muchas luchas. 

Denise Treizman es una artista nacida y criada en Chile, actualmente radicada en Miami. En 2011, se mudó a la ciudad de Nueva York para obtener su Maestría en Bellas Artes en la Escuela de Artes Visuales. Desde entonces, su obra ha sido expuesta en varias ciudades del mundo. En la ciudad de Nueva York, su trabajo se ha presentado en lugares que incluyen el Museo del Bronx, la Galería Cuchifritos, la Galería Proto Gómez y Wave Hill, entre otros. También ha sido residente en lugares de renombre como Vermont Studio Center, NARS Foundation, Triangle Workshop, Ox-Bow, ACRE y Mass MoCa Assets for the Artists. 

Brian  Actualmente vive en Miami, Florida, donde trabaja para una organización sin fines de lucro contra la pobreza.  Antes de eso, pasó 20 años en África y América Latina trabajando en desarrollo internacional y asistencia humanitaria.  Brian  tiene un doctorado en derecho y una licenciatura en negocios de la Universidad de Drake. Obtuvo una maestría en bellas artes de la Universidad Internacional de Arte y Diseño de Miami.

A punto de convertirse en un  centenario,  estela  Resnick ha estado perfeccionando su oficio durante casi nueve décadas. La artista nacida en Brooklyn comenzó a coser cuando era una niña pequeña, inspirada en las técnicas de su ama de llaves que provenía de Polonia y su abuela, que tenía una máquina de coser a pedal. Al final de su adolescencia, trabajó en el mundo de la moda y luego se convirtió en maestra de escuela primaria.

Juliana Torres es una artista contemporánea que trabaja con fotografía, collage, ensamblaje y estructuras cinéticas. El artista siempre ha fotografiado  desde la infancia  y comenzó a escribir poesía contando cuentos infantiles en 2007. Ella  terminado  el MAE y  actualmente está desarrollando una serie de trabajos fotográficos que pretenden reinventar el papel de las imágenes y cómo los espectadores las leen. 

Alette es una obra de producción interdisciplinar que se centra en  las conexiones entre la naturaleza, la sociedad y el yo.  Ella  el arte entreteje el impacto emocional e histórico de la sociedad y la política, usando una variedad de técnicas y medios. Recibió un BFA de Newcomb College de la Universidad de Tulane y luego se mudó a la República Dominicana para vivir y trabajar durante diecisiete años. 

Nacido en Pensilvania, vive y trabaja en Miami. Desarrollé una pasión por la fibra y los textiles a una edad temprana gracias a mi abuela, la máquina de coser Sew-O-Matic y mi telar de agarradera. Recibí una licenciatura en arte con un enfoque principal en textiles. Esta pasión ha crecido en muchas direcciones a lo largo de los años.  Sigo explorando diferentes formas de incorporar fibras y textiles en mi arte y siempre trato de salir de mi zona de confort.

Mi práctica se centra en mi vida doméstica, una vida vivida en, durante y alrededor del arte. Trabajo en serie, generalmente en varias piezas a la vez, en diferentes etapas de finalización. En muchos sentidos, mi práctica se parece al caos y la entropía de la vida en una casa con niños, compañeros de cuarto, animales: la similitud es diferente todos los días.

Trabajo en múltiples medios, incluyendo pintura sobre seda, bordado, pintura al óleo, dibujo, tejido y cerámica. Trabajar con fibras permite la portabilidad y la conveniencia: estos trabajos se pueden recoger fácilmente durante los momentos libres, no requieren semanas de tiempo de secado y tienen el beneficio adicional de ser útiles y hermosos.  

Grace Cox es una artista visual nacida y criada en Miami, Florida. Recibió su BFA en Diseño de Moda y Prendas de Punto del Fashion Institute of Technology, y su Maestría en Educación Artística de la Universidad Internacional de Florida. Ha explorado la fibra como un medio de expresión portátil, así como el aceite para crear un registro clásico de algo que no tendría la oportunidad de grabarse de otra manera. Su trabajo se ha presentado en lugares como el Museo en FIT, el Museo de Arte Patricia & Phillip Frost y la Galería de Arte y Sala de Exhibiciones Frank C. Otis, entre otros. Ella crea para expresar los signos de vida en el ruido de fondo y la belleza en lo que a menudo se pierde.

Toa Castellanos es una artista cubano-colombiana-estadounidense que vive en Florida desde el año 2000. Recibió una licenciatura de Marygrove College en Detroit y una maestría en Educación Artística de la Universidad de Notre Dame. Pinta, dibuja e imprime, pero su amor más reciente es el collage de papel y tela.  Toa Castellanos muestra cómo los estándares de belleza impuestos por la sociedad han generado formas de comportamiento que inducen a las mujeres a perseguir continuamente un falso ideal de juventud y perfección.

Paola Mondolfi nació en Caracas el 5 de marzo de 1971, se graduó como Diseñadora Gráfica en el Instituto de Diseño de Caracas en 1993 también estudió escultura en la Escuela Federico Brand.  Su carrera profesional incluye diseño de packaging, publicidad y marketing, imagen corporativa y desarrollo web.

  En 2020, a raíz de la pandemia, empezó a investigar en otras áreas,  como el diseño de muebles y textiles, creó Paola Mondolfi Furniture Lab, donde trabaja con muebles reciclados, objetos abandonados en el tiempo, que pueden haber sido dañados o maltratados por sus circunstancias durante los años de su vida, y a través de la intervención se pueden recuperar, creando nuevas historias.

Elsa Esté es una artista del barro venezolana cuya extensa carrera comenzó en 1979. Su formación comenzó en la Escuela de Artes Cristóbal Rojas en Caracas, Venezuela. Ha mostrado su trabajo en exposiciones colectivas organizadas en Venezuela, Puerto Rico y Zagreb), así como en exposiciones individuales en Caracas y Miami, Florida. Elsa Esté ha sido galardonada con numerosos premios, entre ellos el Premio del Salón Nacional de las Artes del Fuego en Venezuela; y la Mención de Honor en la Exposición de Pequeño Formato de Zagreb. Durante 10 años fue la  Presidente de la Asociación Venezolana de Artes del Fuego (AVAF), organización que agrupa a artistas dedicados al barro, orfebres, esmaltadores y herreros.

He participado en varias ferias artesanales y mis piezas se han exhibido con éxito en la tienda de regalos de The Society of the Four Arts.

Soy venezolano nacido y vivo en Suiza desde 1989. Estudié en la escuela de arte Cristóbal Rojas en Caracas. Por situaciones familiares y el cambio de país hicieron que mi inicio en el arte fuera lento y de bajo perfil. En algún momento a finales de los 90 tomé tinta en papel japonés y mi vida dio un salto. Trabajé muchos años en el blanco y negro minimalista hasta que descubrí el arte digital y mi estilo dio un segundo salto al pop art digital, las explosiones de colores eran mi realidad diaria.

Donna Ruff vive y trabaja en Miami, Florida. Obtuvo un MFA (2000) de la Universidad de Rutgers, donde se centró en el grabado y la instalación. Ha sido elegida para crear instalaciones específicas del sitio en Eldridge Street Project en el Lower East Side de Nueva York (2004), PS 122, Nueva York, NY (2003) y para ArtSPACE en New Haven, Connecticut (2005). .  En 2021 recibió una beca de la Fundación Pollock Krasner y una beca Ellie de Oolite Arts.

Tejedora desde 1985, nacida en Roma,  han estado produciendo  muebles y ropa  tejidos de la tradición textil de Lucca  y su provincia (Región Apuane en Toscana), donde vivo y trabajo,  por mucho tiempo.  También soy hilandera, fabricando y tiñendo a mano con colores naturales, hierbas, cortezas, hojas, etc., las lanas que utilizo en mis labores. 

Realizo cursos y talleres sobre todos estos temas en Tessiture Lucchesi APS, mi Asociación textil, y estoy preparando dos manuales para su publicación.

Margaret Roleke is a mixed media artist. She is known for her sculptures and installations, but
also creates works on paper and fabric. During the pandemic she explored cyanotypes which
are now a large part of her practice. Roleke’s work comments on social issues mainly gun
violence, women's rights and racism.

Orly Elkayam Kadosh has been inspired by her environment for as long as she can remember and she has communicated to the world through art all of her life. Her relationship with languages, colors, textures, materials, and sensory experiences shaped her journey as an artist. Her quest for knowledge through art led her to explore these themes academically through degrees in Fine Art, Judaic Art, and Jewish Studies. 

I was born in Argentina of Armenian descent. I have always swum in multicultural waters. My mother grew up in Guadeloupe (French Antilles), and my father in Milan and Venice (Italy). I have family in Brazil, went to a French school, belonged to the Armenian Girls Scouts, and vacationed in the U.S. Even though I have a bachelor’s in International Relations, life drove me down the translation alley. From an early age, yarn and knots, weave and textures have been my allies for resilience. 

Mark Runge is an artist, teacher, and collector of experiences. He has worked with yarn since his grandmother introduced him to it. Mark is not media-specific and uses a blend of materials, whether drawing on wood, fabric, paper, or whatever. He currently teaches a variety of media in Miami and lives with his two cats, Andre Flyrod and Allowicious.

Leslie Sheryll’s work focuses on female identity through photography, digital collage, and textile art. She became interested in photography while attending the High School of Art and Design in New York City and received her BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute where she studied photography, video, and fiber arts. Leslie grew up in New York City and currently lives in Jersey City, New Jersey.

Monica founded Alacrán Producciones Brand more than 10 years ago. Since then, she has gone on to work in various other creative endeavors including event planning and scene design in shopping centers. Today she is mixing two of her greatest passions; a combination of art and fashion, resulting in her emblematic yarn and recycled plastic bags pieces.

Shirley Chong was born in Peru and emigrated to Miami, Florida where her curiosity and wonder lives. Through various mediums, she is able to connect not only with material but with audience as well. Creating functional pieces allows the line between art and life to blur. The act of usage forms life around the object, and allows the participant to find themselves through an experience. Blending the lines of the artist, audience and art creates an opportunity for a communal space that brings people together. Beyond the space where it all took place, the experience lives on with each participant's memory and will continue to exist and expand like a ripple effect.

Anna Goraczko was born in Miami, Florida where she lives and works. Goraczko received a Master of Fine Arts in Visual Arts from Florida International University in 2020 and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art from Florida International University in 2008. She is a mixed media artist who employs cyanotypes on fabric, printmaking, and installations to document a visual association between physical objects and the visual memory that might distort or abstract them. She uses found objects and material from her family’s archive to expand upon themes of place, memory, and spirituality.

She was born in Caracas; From the age of 3 she decided that she would be a painter, after leaving high school she studied graphic design,  later arrived at the Federico Brandt Arts Institute in Caracas, simultaneously she did courses in comics, architectural drawing, painting and art criticism with Pedro León Zapata at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Caracas Sofía Imber and at the Ateneo de Caracas. Throughout her career she has explored different techniques of contemporary sculpture and painting incorporating embroidery as part of her work. SHe is currently a member of the Artists for Peace movement; which brings together several creators who contribute their artistic work in order to support charities.

I was born and raised in Upstate New York and relocated to South Florida in the 1990’s.

At an early age I entered in to the arts through dance, music and theatre. I received a Bachelor's of Fine Arts in 1992 and was fortunate to a have a  wonderful professional dance career and the ability to work next to some of the finest teachers, choreographers, and performers. I went on to own and manage a marketing company in Miami Beach which focused on services such as: music, film, and animation. 

I now sit in a position as Vice President to a Commercial Real Estate company in Miami. I enjoy weaving and knotting large scale art. It is relaxing, gives me a way to create, think, grow and stay connected. Knots rock!

Déborah Jafif was born in Buenos Aires in 1961. She studied Architecture at the University of Belgrano and attended to workshops with Raúl Marengo, Nora Correas, Enio Iommi and Enrique Aguirrezabala. Her first contact with the world of textiles was trough tapestries and looms and defined by her interest for textures. 
In 2002, she made a brief incursion in the execution of works with nylon thread, but it wasn’t until 2009 when she assumed the practice of working textile techniques with non-traditional materials with total assiduity. As of 2018, she ventured into textile research in relation to space and started developing site specific textile projects. The topics that interest her the most are deeply linked to existence, such as the passage of time, madness or the impossibility of an absolutely perfect communication.

Michelle Bardino Vela (b. 1995) is a Peruvian-American interdisciplinary artist and photographer currently based in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Her work explores themes about the cycles within the natural world and the changes that occur in memories over time. She explores these concepts through materials such as fibers, clay, photographic processes, and papermaking. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts with a focus in photography and sculpture from Florida International University. She will be an artist in residence at the Sitka Center for Art and Ecology in Otis, OR during the spring of 2022.

In my practice as a Fiber Artist my medium is primarily Off-Loom Weaving with Beading and Knotting.

Francine Birbragher-Rozencwaig is an art historian, independent curator, and art critic. She received a
Master’s in art history and a Ph.D. in Latin American history from the University of Miami. She is a
founding and contributing editor of ArtNexus magazine. Since 1989, she has written about
contemporary art for specialized magazines and newspapers, as well as essays for artists’ monographs
and exhibition catalogs. From 2008 to 2015, she worked as an adjunct curator at The Patricia and Phillip
Frost Art Museum, Florida International University. As an independent curator, she has organized more
than one hundred exhibitions in the United States and Latin America.

Vanessa Lustig (Atelierlustig) is an experimental media artist based in South Florida. She creates delicate, minimalist fiber interventions on two and three dimensional media, responsive hand-felted objects, and is also a fine jewelry designer. Her practice is centered on observations of changing psychological, cultural, and natural contexts and situations that reference posthuman identity & culture. The resulting works are more-than-human entities that invite viewer participation through future-thinking activities, in order to generate a heightened awareness of what she terms the "in-between" of human and more-than-human entanglements. Lustig holds an MFA with Distinction from Transart Institute/LJMU and has a multidisciplinary background in design, communications, photography, clinical and positive psychology.

Rita Valley is an artist living and maintaining a studio in Connecticut; close enough to New York to dive frequently off the deep end into the vagaries of the art world, but distant enough to enable a life of bucolic scenery, complete with a Dog and Pony Show. She grew up as a self-professed (despite politically indifferent parents who eked out working class livings) and early on explored issues of inequality, the waging of war and financial disparity. These motifs continue in her work to this day, with the near collapse of our economy providing further fodder for her studio investigations. She trusts- perhaps in vain- that her art practice will help to correct the wrongs so manifestly present in the world today, but she is not holding her breath.

I️ am an interdisciplinary Venezuelan-American artist based in New York. I am interested in the relationship between the self, our subconscious, and nature. I specifically draw  inspiration from decomposition, insects and mold as symbols of decay and rebirth. Through the use of loose line work, vibrant colors  and overlapping compositions, I️ try to emulate the controlled chaos that I️ observe in nature and see mirrored in the human mind.  I enjoy mixing my focus, textile arts, with various other mediums to create art that is the boundaries between the mundane and mystical, the otherworldly and the Earthly.

Joan Wheeler is a fiber artist who uses sewn textiles and needle-felting to create her art. Her work has been exhibited in galleries and museums in New York and New England.She has sewn since childhood, creating clothes for herself and others and teaching two brothers to sew and has a collection of vintage linens that she also uses in her work.

My artistic work involves, contemporary jewelry, sculpture, mix media, installation, and performance art.
The self-portrait has been the way to express the visceral need to tell my own story.
Sometimes hard, rough, and even raw, but under that, it can be seen the fragility and sensibility of the pieces that I’ve created.

Fernanda Froes is a visual artist born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Her work investigates scientific and historical events and brings attention to environmental and cultural preservation issues in the Americas.
Froes’ working process usually begins with drawing, which diversely evolves into a combination of media, including painting, fiber, printmaking, and digital illustration.
Fernanda Froes is currently pursuing an MFA - Visual Arts at MIUAD. 

Tatiana Zaytseva is a Miami-based contemporary artist engaged in artistic search, self-improvement, and creation.  Two points distinguish my work: texture and color.  Zaytseva  multi-layered, textured, multi-colored works 'play' diverse media to balance between them, coming to unite all parts in a single holistic image.

Andrea Goldschmidt (São Paulo, 1970) is a photographer and multimedia artist whose work is predominantly related to Brazilian Popular Festivals. Her interest in the subject arose from her enthusiasm for diversity, the power of the collective and the pride she feels in being Brazilian.
Granddaughter of Germans and raised within a community made up of many foreigners, Andrea understood, from an early age, the potential for construction and aggregation that result from the natural and cultural diversity of the country where she was born.

Pangea Kali Virga is a fiber artist, arts educator, designer, stylist, and producer with high standards and a conceptual spirit. Her aim is to build collaborative networks and moving experiences through all of her projects. Social responsibility is pivotal to her art, as she attempts to communicate urgent, difficult messages in beautiful and fun ways through fine art, events, workshops, performances, and other collaborative projects. A New York native, Pangea now calls Miami, Florida home.

Deborah L. Morris is a mult-disciplinary artist with a focus on fiber and textile.  She holds a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design and has participated in residencies at the Children's Museum of Manhattan, Mana Contemporary Miami and Guttenberg Arts, New Jersey.  Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally and is part of the collection of the Chojun Textile and Quilt Museum in Seoul, South Korea.  She is currently president of the Textile Study Group of New York.

Born and raised in Basel Switzerland, Maya Schonenberger holds a degree in textile work and teaching from Basel. She lives and works in Miami.
She has used her artwork as a language to express concerns and thoughts about our
environment and social issues. Rarely can the two be separated.
“My artwork is not about doom and gloom but about creating awareness. I see the pieces as messengers as well as peacemakers. I want my viewers to get excited and inspired. I want them
to think critically about important issues that confront them on a daily basis. I also hope to
nourish the viewer’s eyes and soul. “

Originally from Champaign, Illinois, Janet Mueller lives and works in Miami Beach, Florida. Mueller received a Bachelor of Science in Marketing, College of Commerce, from the University of Illinois (1975). She studied watercolor painting at Parkland College in Champaign, Illinois (1978), learned to paint with gouache and an airbrush from technical artists (1980s) and oil painting techniques in private sessions with Joachim Loeber in Key West, Florida (1998). Mueller learned to sew as a child and has incorporated fabric sculpture and textile painting into her work.

Janet Mueller has had 13 solo exhibitions, including shows in New York City and Rome, Italy.

Ximena Romero is an artist who has dedicated her life to promoting art as the world’s most a powerful form of self-expression. Born in Colombia and immigrating to the US in her teens, Ximena graduated from Miami Dade College with an Associate’s degree in business of the Arts. After performing opera for several years as a coloratura high soprano, Ximena focused on selling artwork to private clients in real estate transactions for a decade.
In 2019, Ximena founded Femmearts (www.femmearts.com), an online art gallery allowing
female artists to share their voice and connect with buyers from around the globe. In addition to her technology business, Ximena is currently pursuing her degree in Art History from Arizona State University.

Natalya Kochak graduated from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago with her BFA and MFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Natalya is currently an adjunct professor at Miami International University in the visual arts department and also owns a decorative painting studio, Natalya Kochak Design Studio. She was an artist-in-residence in 2018-2019 with ProjectArt, teaching displaced teenagers and students from underserved school districts twice a week at the Model City branch of the Miami-Dade Public Library System.

Felisa Prieto was born in Bogota, Colombia in 1983; she moved to South Florida in 2001 with her family where she studied Fine Arts with emphasis on Photography at Broward College. In 2007 she transferred to The School of the Art Institute of Chicago where she received her BFA with emphasis on Environmental Art, Urban Sustainability and Textiles. She later moved to Houston and Brooklyn, where she worked as an art educator. Felisa currently resides in Fort Lauderdale where she continues her practice

Macarena Zilveti (b. Chile, 1961) was born in Santiago and moved to Long Island, NY with her family in the 1970s. Always fond of drawing and painting, Zilveti found herself immersed in a multilingual culture that would further enrichen her artistic sensibilities. A graduate of Syracuse University’s School of Visual and Performing Arts, Zilveti pursued a career in Advertising. Zilveti now lives in Hollywood, FL where she works with a variety of mediums. She has participated in shows nationally and regularly exhibits in the South Florida gallery circuit.

Michelle Drummond was born in Kingston, Jamaica and lives and works in Delray Beach, Florida. Drummond received a Masters in Project Management from Keller Graduate School of Management, DeVry University in 2001 and Bachelor’s of Science in Mathematics with concentration in Computer Science and French from St. Lawrence University in 1999. Drummond is a self-taught contemporary mixed media fiber artist who creates 3-dimensional forms by manipulating multicolored, multi-weighted yarn, glue, and acrylic paint on and off canvas and wood panel. 

RemiJin Camping is a Filipina-American photographic artist based in South Florida. She received her MFA in Photography and Bachelor of Arts in Photography degrees from Barry University in Miami Shores, FL. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Photography at Barry University where she teaches analog, alternative processes, and digital photography.

Andrea Huffman
After attending the High School of Art and Design in New York City, Andrea Huffman moved to Florida, and received a Master’s Degree in Art Education from Florida International University.
She taught art for thirty-one years in Broward County Public Schools and retired from full time teaching in 2011 to pursue her own art practice. Ms. Huffman has since exhibited locally and nationally in solo, juried and group shows, receiving numerous awards for her work, including
several Broward County Creative Investment Grants. 

Ivonne Ferrer (b. Cuba) Graduated from San Alejandro Academy, and René Portocarrero National Silk Screen Print Shop, Havana, Cuba.
Atribuciones in Fidelio Ponce Gallery (1990) was her first solo exhibition, which led her to leave the Cuban art scene for the Spanish circuit where she participated in: Expo Universal Sevilla 92, Arts Pavillion, La temperatura de Dios (1993), Fisiología decorativa (1994) and La isla
mágica in Copenhagen, together with two masters. Ivonne migrated to the United States in 1995. In 1997 produced Trinomio cubano at Botello Gallery, Puerto Rico and in 2001 the solo exhibition Durban Serguini Gallery. 

I was born on August 31, 1983 in Mexico City. I studied Architecture at the Anahuac University in Mexico City (2002-2006).
Took several courses and diplomas in Fashion, Art History, Drawing, Painting, among others, in different Institutions such as The Instituto Di Moda Burgo in Milan, Italy, The Iberoamericana University in Mexico City, the University Centro for Design, Cinema and TV in Mexico City, among others.

Based out of Miami, fiber artist Brandi Long looks to nature to inform her work. Best known for her fairytale like sculptures that incorporate all that she takes in from the natural world.  Her use of fibers, found objects, and organic material lends itself as the perfect vessel to create these metaphoric sculptures. Long’s body of work is a capsulized moment in time that looks to re-establish a relationship with nature and the self

MALE LEÓN is a painter and mixed media artist based in Miami since 2012. She studied Business Administration at Universidad Metropolitana in Caracas, Venezuela. She holds an MA in Design and Fashion Marketing from Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland. She took drawing classes at The Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, Texas, photography at Focus Photo in Miami, and studies Jungian Psychology on her own. 

I approach my artwork as a way of visually representing my psyche and soul through the use of painting, photography and assemblages intertwined with emotions and thoughts around a specific theme as my media. I make specific, hand-made interventions of my paintings and photographs with the use of sewing thread, fabric and various other materials. The conceptual production of my current work is nurtured by my passion for Jungian psychology and the study of the feminine archetypes.

Sterling Rook is a Miami native with a Masters in Fine Art from Florida International University. His practice is enriched by working within a family legacy of fiber-crafts, being a descendent of stringers, lace-makers, reweavers and tailors. Rook uses these markers as a compass, bridging gaps within disparate cultural heritages, connecting past to present.  These pasts unfold paths to explore art-making as a regenerative process. Forged and welded steel, painted and woven palm fronds, and handmade rope from used clothing, all factor in for Rook in as avenues expanding his visual vocabulary.

Kianga Jinaki is a fiberartist who creates quilts, dolls and mixed-media works that honor Black life and culture. Her works have been been exhibited both nationally and internationally since 1991. Ms Jinaki is a 2022 recipient of the Artist Innovation Fellowship presented by the Cultural Council of Palm Beach County Florida. A teaching artist, Kianga has has worked with local museums, cultural centers and both Palm Beach & Broward county library systems, providing artistic/cultural programs for the communities they serve.

Jocelyn Flores is currently studying at Barry University for her bachelors in photography with specialization in forensics. She has been photographing and experimenting with sewing and mixed medias for years. Jocelyn’s work aims to get a reaction from her audience with attraction vs repulsion. Her work is also perceived to be tactile. Jocelyn was born and raised in South Florida and has roots from Montemorelos Mexico.

She learned the art of weaving in the Mexican Workshop of Gobelins, in Guadalajara, Jal. Mexico, under the expert weaver Pedro Ibarra.

She has been weaving for more than thirteen years.

She is currently working on a series of tapestries based on the ancient botanical Códices de la Cruz Badiano.

I am a fiber artist specializing in Modern quilting.  I am a member of the Modern Quilt Guild, South Florida Modern and Montreal Modern quilt guilds.  I live in Miami Beach and Montreal.

Rafael Montilla, best known as "Kube Man," is a Miami-based multidisciplinary artist. Rafael studied textile art at Escuela Técnica de Artes Visuales Cristóbal Rojas, Caracas, Venezuela. His work is rooted in geometric abstraction, with the cube playing a central role in his artistic proposal. The cube symbolizes harmony, gratitude, unity, compassion, inclusion, and balance in both our inner and outer lives. Rafael's objective is to achieve the conscious evolution of humanity, aiming to create a more harmonious and sustainable world for present and future generations. Karina Sztein, Buenos Aires, Argentina is an

Architect graduated from University of Belgrano (1994) Assistant to the chair on Design in the School of Architecture, University of Belgrano (1995-1996). 

Clara Bereszdivin Waserstein was born and raised in San Jose, Costa Rica. She has been living in Puerto Rico since 1996, where she considers “The Island of Enchantment” her home without losing her love for her native country. She studied at the Universidad Internacional de las Americas, the Art Institute in Fort Lauderdale, Miami, the School of Plastic Arts of Puerto Rico, and the San Juan School of Interior Design in Puerto Rico, among others.

Award winning national artist Christiane Casella’s Classical figurative training is evident in all her work from bronze sculpture and drawing to the underlying structure in her abstract work.   Whether linear, psychic or imagined, it is here in the abstract realm where emotional content draws its breath and provides the “bond between her beings”.  Whether literal or symbolic, this focus on connection shines through in her mastery of melding form with material.  Casella’s work can be best described as maintaining a reverence for the classical while simultaneously embracing nuance and an outright fondness for modernity.

Arrieta has received numerous accolades, including the South Florida Cultural Consortium Fellowship
Grant and the Hector Ubertalli Award for the Visual Arts. In addition to serving on public art
committees and running a University exhibition program, she is also the founding Director of the International Humanities Project Curatorial Lab. Arrieta's main art studio is located in Palm Beach, FL, and she spends part of her summers at her studio in Yonkers, NY.

Aimee Perez is a Cuban American artist residing in Miami since 2006. She has won several national awards for her figurative ceramics. She is known for her command of gestures making her sculptures expressionistic and powerful which combined with weaving and knotting techniques learned in her travels creates anorganic symbiosis. 

Vered S. Pasternak was born and raised in a rural area called Hod Hasharon, Israel. Pasternak graduated from the Kalisher School of Art in Tel Aviv in 1989 

She is a resident of Miami, Florida (since 2001). 

Pasternak expresses powerful themes of identity and belonging in her paintings.

Emily creates her sculptural and design works, and produces her sounds and shapes in Miami,  Florida. Her sculptures are created from reclaimed, earth pigment dyed fabrics and discarded materials such as floral wire, lamps, and metal grates and frames. She constructs her clothing with reclaimed natural fabrics, which she dyes using a water and energy-saving technique that uses only soybeans and Earth pigments. Emily creates her wearable art jewelry pieces by hand with only a jeweler’s saw and needle file using recycled sterling silver and conflict-free gold-fill sheet metals. Her soundscapes are shaped with her voice, acoustic guitar, mandolin, harmonium, synthesizers, shakers, rattles and field recordings.

Bruna Marcon Weber is an artist and photographer based in Miami, Florida, currently completing a Master of Arts in Photography. With works exhibited in the Curated Fridge, Grand Gallery and others, she is experimenting with a variety of techniques to explore gender issues, the unconscious, and social inequality.

Linda Telfer is a Haitian-American Miami based educator, artist, West African drummer and dancer. Fiber arts speaks to my soul. It reaches parts of me that seldom sees the light of day. I have an affinity for African textiles and fabrics. Creating with them stirs memories long embedded in the marrow of my bones. I am a self taught fiber artist that believes creativity can start a revolution! 

Meieli Sawyer is a native New Englander and Miami resident who explores the interconnection between found objects and “make do and mend” fashion. A communications professional by day and fiber artist by night, she loves making the old new again

Sarah Laing is a registered art therapist (ATR). Through a number of leadership roles in community, education, and healthcare settings, she is known as a proven catalyst for creative expression; passionate about emotional learning and the arts.  Sarah relocated to Miami in 2023 where she is an Art Therapist for the Art Cares program at the Bass Museum, a Teaching Artist for Arts4All Florida in special needs classrooms, and an Art Therapist for adolescents at a local clinic.  Sarah is a fiber artist and does community-based projects and murals. 

Rosa Henriquez, also affectionately known as Cocó, discovered her love for painting in 2020. She was inspired by her mother's artistic pursuits and decided to try her hand at watercolors, using a set of paper and brushes that she had originally purchased as a gift for her mom. What began as a casual pastime soon evolved into a full-fledged hobby and passion for Cocó.

Cocó enjoys creating a variety of artwork, including landscapes, botanicals, structures, and portraits. In addition to watercolors, she has expanded her repertoire to include other art materials such as acrylic fabrics, threads and mural painting.

Donaty was born in Columbus, Ohio, raised in New Jersey, and is of Colombian-American heritage. She holds a BFA from Moore College of Art & Design in Philadelphia, PA. After twelve years of living in London, England, Dana relocated to South Florida, where she lives and works. She is a  2024 MFA Art Practice candidate at The School of Visual Arts in New York.

In her interdisciplinary practice, Donaty examines women's historical and contemporary societal experiences, exploring how these shape their identities. Her work confronts the paradoxical nature of women's empowerment within the patriarchy, ultimately questioning the possibility of gender equality. The work is infused with her vibrant maximalist playground-like aesthetics and satirical humor, mirroring life's absurdities and exposing culture's dark side.

Juliana Forero is Museum Manager for the Coral Springs Museum of the Arts, and previously served as Chief Curator for the City of Pembroke Pines (The Frank Art Gallery and Studio 18 Art Complex), and founder and director of Nomad Art Projects. In her independent curator role, Juliana coordinated the art exhibitions for Bailey Contemporary Arts, Historic Ali Cultural Arts, and the Pompano Beach Cultural Center. A native of Colombia, Juliana Forero worked as the Director of Education for Houston Center for Photography prior to relocating to South Florida. Her doctoral dissertation researched the role of the artistic community in the revitalization of the South Bronx, while working in the development department of the Bronx Museum of the Arts.

Juliana holds a Ph.D. in Arts Education, a MA in Arts Administration and a Museum Studies Certificate from Florida State University. Prior to these achievements, she received a BFA in Visual Arts from Universidad de los Andes in Colombia, a Certificate in Portrait Photography from the Tecnológico de Monterrey, and a Certificate in Graphic Design from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Mexico. 

Pilar Tobón, a native of Medellín, Colombia, is a distinguished textile artist who embarked on her creative journey in the 1980s. Pilar Tobón's artistic journey has taken her across the globe, with solo exhibitions gracing Spain, Japan, the USA, Colombia, Ecuador, and Costa Rica. She has also participated in numerous collective exhibitions in countries such as the USA, Italy, Spain, Brazil, Belgium, Uruguay, Mexico, Austria, and Argentina, among others. Her artistic contributions have extended beyond exhibitions. Pilar has represented Colombia as a Guest Artist at prestigious events such as the 11th Lodz Triennale at the Central Museum of Textiles in Poland (2004) and the 10th International Fiber Art Biennial "From Laussane to Beijing" at Tsinghua Uni Art Museum in China (2018). Furthermore, Pilar Tobón has made significant contributions to the international textile art community, serving as a curator, moderator, and juror in various large-scale projects. She holds the esteemed position of President of the World Textile Art Organization, widely recognized as WTA in the global art scene.

Flavia Daudt was born in 1974 and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Flavia Daudt is a Fine Arts photographer and multimedia artist who resides in Miami, FL. She focused on issues regarding the relationship between people and Nature, as well as womanhood and motherhood.
Flavia graduated with a master’s in visual arts from Miami International University of Art and Design in 2022. Flavia is currently pursuing an MFA in photography at Barry’s University.

Lia Galletti is a painter and printmaker who was born in Havana, Cuba. Her work is in the collection of the
Instituto de Cultura Puertorriqueña, where she participated at the Ibero American Printmaking Biennial of San Juan, Puerto Rico (1987). She recently participated in the Tokyo International Mini Print Triennial at Tama Art University Museum, Tokyo,
Japan, the International Biennial Print Exhibit: 2020 ROC, National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, the Guanlan International Print Biennial China 2017, 2019, 2021 China Print Museum, Guanlan, Shenzhen, China and the 4th Geoje International Art Festival, Haegeumgang Art Museum in South Korea. Her work is housed in several public and private collections, including Bacardi International and the Art Museum of the Americas at the Organization of American States in Washington, D.C.

Marcela Ash is a Colombian American artist
whose lifelong passion for fine arts has taken her
on a journey of creative exploration across
continents. Born with an innate curiosity for
artistic expression, Marcela’s artistic odyssey has led her to study and create art in the vibrant
cultural hubs of Europe, New York, and her native
Colombia. With a diverse range of artistic pursuits that include Art History, glass blowing, drawing,
painting, ceramics, and digital art through the Procreate app, Marcela’s creative repertoire knows no bounds. Her extensive involvement in the art world has seen her traversing the globe, attending art fairs and museums, and soaking in the rich tapestry of global artistic traditions.

Blanca Beatriz Caraballo was born in Sancti Spiritus, Cuba in 1969, and studied Plastic Arts Education at the Higher Institute of Education “Enrique Jose Varona” in Havana. In 1991 I moved to Miami, Florida. I continued my education at Miami-Dade College, Florida International University, and University of Miami expanding my knowledge in the arts and disciplines and exploring interdisciplinary topics.

Mainly a painter, I have experimented with poetry, prose, installations, sculpture, printmaking, photography, digital media, video, sound, mail art, and book arts. I have participated in  national and international mail art and book arts exhibitions and collaborations.

Maruchi Carmona is a multimedia Cuban American artist residing in Miami, Florida. She arrived in Miami as a child in 1962 through the “Operation Pedro Pan”, which brought unaccompanied children to the USA to avoid communism indoctrination in their homeland. She has an AA Degree in Arts from Miami-Dade College and a BA Degree in Liberal Studies with Minors in Visual Arts and Art History from Florida International University.
Maruchi’s work relates a profound search to express her feelings to the viewer. Her abstract mixed media acrylics paintings, as well as her works in oils, at times exude tranquility and balance through the colors of her palette, while other times her work reflects dissonance she finds in the contemporary world. Alejandrina Cue was born in the picturesque city of Cárdenas, Cuba.  A small costal town filled with antique coaches, horses, crabs and bicycles. She was blessed with the good fortune of having three seamstresses in the family to guide her, her mother and two aunts.  As a result,  she grew up surrounded by the magic of colors and textures of textiles! She studied at the National School of Arts in Havana, graduating with a degree in Graphic Design.  Afterward, she continued studying design four additional years.  Two years at the Bauhaus School of Design in Dresden, Germany, followed by two additional years at the V.T.K. Scientific Center for Design, in Maissen, Germany.
She held more than 15 solo exhibitions in Cuba, Spain, France, Portugal, Italy, the United States and Colombia.  I also taught creative workshops in these countries.  Her most recent show was part of a group exhibition of 10 American artists in Tokyo, Japan at the Cervantes Institute, in March 2023.
For the past 12 years she has lived in Miami Beach, by the ocean... she writes poems... she weaves nostalgia, she braids fears but above all, she spins hopes and desires!

Miami based artist Laura Luna is a native of Cuba. Laura comes from a family of artisans and a solid theoretical/technical background at the San Alejandro School of the Arts in Havana. She is part of the Cuban Post Modernist “80’s Golden Generation”. As daughter of a political prisoner, her “lack of social compatibility,” did not allow her to enter the ISA (Instituto Superior de Arte).
She continued to develop her work there until she and her family were able to obtain political asylum in the United States in 1980. She established her studio in Miami in 1994 where she raised her family as a single mother of three and continue her creative process exhibiting at private galleries, Museums, and Universities thought the US and abroad. Gifted with discipline and an intricate creative capacity that allows her artistic expression through various methods, Laura’s creative process engages all mediums and possible “contamination”
feeding her daily life and vice versa. Her love for literature enriches her daily life with words as also part of her work. In addition to her work as a fine artist, Laura relishes cultivating creativity in children and adults through her work with organizations such as Arts for Learning/Miami. Her work is part of The Cuban Masters Collection at the Lowe’s Art Museum at The University of Miami.

Serena Buschi lives and works in Bedford, New York where she creates fiber and mixed media installations that express the current socio-political environment as well as larger contexts. She often uses visual frameworks that express her interest in physical and metaphysical philosophical concepts within her works. Being a product of two cultures and varied traditions, an assimilated mixture of Southeast Asian Indian and Italian descent, her process of pinning and draping materials together mirrors her understanding of self and extrapolation to where we are within the moment.

Buschi holds an MFA from Massachusetts College of Art and Design, Boston Massachusetts. She holds an MA from Teachers College, Columbia University New York. Recent solo shows include the Flatiron Prow Art Space in Manhattan. Her work has been featured in the motion picture Anesthesia in 2016. Her work is in numerous private collections.

Aleli Egües is a Miami based artist, her practice deals with vintage references, the relationship between the landscape, identity, and urban spaces. She works in photography, video, and expanded painting. Aleli is from the Tropics, born in Miami Beach, Florida to Cuban parents. Her work has been featured locally in Miami and Internationally. Egües received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art, cum laude, with a minor in Art History from Florida International University, Miami, Florida.

Born in Argentina visual artist currently living in MIami. She has a degree in Interior Design. Has studies in painting, fiber arts techniques, screenprinting, dyes and eco printing, mostly in South America, USA , Europe and in India as well. She combines her work in many innovative and experimental ways, including thread and embroidery. Her art is mainly abstract and gestural.
Paula has participated in solo exhibitions such as BADA Argentina, and group exhibitions as the Fiber Arts Beijing Biennale in 2021. The themes being the Indigenous Peoples and planet concerned issues, such as recycling and re using resources and circular economy.

Eumelia Castro was born in Venezuela. 

From a very young age, she showed the ability to express herself through drawing. She graduated in Advertising and Graphic Design, she worked for many years as an illustrator and Art Director in Advertising agencies in Caracas, Venezuela. She is a self-taught artist established in the United States since 2002, currently living in Miami, Florida, emigrating was a new beginning for, she took advantage of it to develop and expand her knowledge and techniques in her painting. Through her work in advertising, she was able to discover different techniques such as watercolor, crayon, and marker, which helped her take the leap and experiment with oil and acrylic. Eumelia has developed her own style. She is inspired by nature, the beauty and delicacy of women, She uses different tools in her painting that allow her to create textures, soft and dynamic shapes. She is looking for new techniques that help her to show new performances. Furthermore, she has successfully exhibited her work in Galleries and Art Fairs in the United States, Belgium, France, Italy, China and Korea.

Ashnide Jean-Baptiste, an emerging visual artist, showcases her innovative creations in Miami and Palm Beach. Through her art, she transforms recycled clothing and embellishments, crafting whimsical fabric wigs that symbolize her own journey through hair loss and her love for adornments. Exploring themes of identity, beauty, expression, and culture, each wig is a unique reflection of her artistic vision. Having earned her Bachelor’s of Fine Arts degree from FIU in 2022, she furthered her career in 2023 by obtaining a teaching certificate and sharing her craft through engaging upcycled headdress workshops.

Mark Runge was born in Shirley, Massachusetts, but grew up in and around Tampa, Florida.  He has always been an artist. In high school, he took graphic arts in a trade school. He learned to set type, run presses, and learn about paper and other substrates. He was introduced to the importance of design and color theory, and his formal education in art began. It ended when he earned a Master of Fine Art from the University of South Florida (USF), where he started teaching. Even so, he continues to take classes in drawing and painting, embroidery, and quilting – anything that interests him and allows him to bring to life my stories and the things from his imagination.
